About Miro Shot
Miro Shot embrace virtual reality, augmented reality, and artificial intelligence to present a new version of what a band is and can be. The band plays headliner sets on international stages and also create multi-sensory mixed reality performances for audiences that are truly one-of-a-kind.
In 1964 the visionary Canadian media theorist Marshall McLuhan coined the phrase “The medium is the message,” the idea that the way we send and receive information is just as important as what is being said. Since then, technology has vastly changed the way we communicate, but music however, has stayed very much the same.
Miro Shot uses cutting edge immersive technology for live performance to disrupt this status quo by presenting a new version of what a band is, and what a music performance can be.
Miro Shot’s live immersive VR concert allows their audience to experience the ‘world’ of the music itself. In these shows, the audience enters a room filled with projection mapping, digital art, VR headsets, and a stage. When everyone is seated with a VR headset on, the band enters and begins to play. The audience is immersed in an audiovisual journey with haptics, custom scents, and dreamscape visuals.
“An amazing concert is transcendental so we wanted to look at how our notion of reality has changed and fractured as technology becomes more and more prevalent.”-Miro Shot
These digital movements are clear signs that music should no longer be presented in just one medium, and one sense and in one place. With a global collective of multidisciplinary creatives, Miro Shot is paving the way for accessibility and innovation in live performance with immersive technology.
